MySQL tables are not being created during installation

I get all the way through to step 7 without any errors and then all I get is the following;

Creating Sugar configuration file (config.php)

Creating Sugar application tables, audit tables, and relationship metadata...

Creating the database sugarcrm on localhost...done
Creating the Database username and password...Creating the Database username and password for localhost...done

The sugarcrm db is created, as is the sugarcrm user but nothing else.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Nick,

Seems like it may be a problem with your php.ini file. Could you please cross check once if your MySQL server is running. If everything is fine then try to re-install the application following the steps mentioned here: http://sugarcrm.openapp.org/?p=99
