    Default Mystery ACL item

    I notice I have a new entry in the list view of Roles Module, but it has no label. It is located between "Meetings" and "Notes" in the alphabetized listing of ACLRoles modules. I can't figure out what this module is, so it is hard to know what permissions I want to set for it. Right now, the permissions are set to "default" across that row. But, who knows what the "default" is?

    Anyone have any idea what this is? Also, any idea how to get the name to show up in the list.

    Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

    If no one but me has noticed this, could someone please at least tell me what the missing module name is?

    Thanks.

    I have the same thing. By looking into the database I've found that it is called MergeRecords.

    Run this query on the DB.

    SELECT * FROM acl_actions a order by category;

    You will notice MergeRecord between Meetings and Notes.

    Thank you very much. I have continued to wonder what this was, but never took the time to look in the DB and figure it out. This should be reported as a bug, so that Sugar can get it fixed. Do you want to do that, or shall I?

    Please if you can do it. I am tackling the Teams OS module trying to have multiple teams per entity which gives me a bit of a headache and reporting a bug is currently not on my list

    best regards!

    I've got a solution to the multi-teams issue that I'll be releasing in the next two weeks after testing it further. It gets rid of needing both roles and teams. Instead, you'll be able to assign an unlimited number of roles to a record which will determine what type of access you should have to the record depending on the acl actions that are defined.

    Hi eggsurplus, this sounds interesting. Can you please be sure to create a project on SugarForge to allow the entire world to take advantage of your work?

    Thanks,

    Will do Andy. I've got a few other projects that need to be put up there that may be useful as well. A rule-based queueing system for cases and bugs, a contract management module, and an Exchange GAL synch for contacts and their mailing lists (needs to be updated to the latest Sugar version still). I'll get them up here shortly.

    Thanks,
    Jason

    Sorry about the delay. I'm working on setting it up the release right now.
