Need to add contact name to cases

Hi

Please can you give me some advise.

I need to add contact frist name and surname to the cases mod.

I have looked at a couple of threads on this - but am still unclear how to go about this.
sorry very new to sugarcrm

You can use the studio to add a custom"relate" field in Cases which is related to Contacts module.

How did you accomplish this? In Studio, I added a relationship between Cases and Contacts. Now I want to add the Last Name to the required field in all the layouts. The contact fields are not available as an option to grab from the Toolbox window. How do we make those fields appear in the toolbox?

In studio, you have a type of field called "relate" which you can create. This type can relate two modules. So you can have a custom relate field in all your modules.
