Default Need a hand creating a target list

I imported about 200 targets, and assigned them to three sales people. I need to create a target list for a specific salesperson (for an e-mail campaign). Problem is that all I can find is the "select" on the target list detail view. The popup it displays doesn't have the capability of searching on the fields I need (by assigned user). I really can't go through all of them one at a time to do this.

    Am I missing something? Thanks.

Well, I haven't installed anything past 4.2.0.a and am working exclusively in 4.0.1f, however what you are describing sounds eerilly familiar. If it hasn't changed all that much (and from what I gather it hasn't) I might could offer some insight, havving worked for some six weeks now trying to evolve a workflow around just that. I'm on my way out the door, but I'll have a look at jotting down some notes on my processes thus far and post in the am. No two ways about it, it's a positivley counter-intuitive beast.

    Regards,
    TJ

Okay, here’s what I know (or think I know).

    My email campaigns workflow.

    1. Accounts – select Only my items: Search sort/filter as desired
and select accounts from which contacts are to be targeted.
Flag for reference (I have added fields to suit our needs)

    2. Contacts - select Only my items: Search sort/filter by Account and
flag contacts to be targeted. (again added flag field [checkbox]
and made to mass update) have posted how this forum.

    3. Campaigns – create campaign (select if created). For our purposes,
I set begin date a year in the past, and end date years in the future.
Set “Type” and Assign accordingly. Save.

    4. Create Target List – This is not so much creating a list, as it is creating
a container/name for the list. Click ‘Create’ Enter Name,
Type (default) Description (optional), Assign and Save.

    5. Select your newly created Target List container from the “Target List” list. (redundant isn’t it?)

    6. “Target List” DetailView – Click “Select” under the Contacts or Leads subpanel.
and then Search Sort Filter by Account Name (and flags if added and selected in Contacts module)

    7. Check all appropriate from the resulting Popup list and click “Select.”
Unfortunately, -- in 4.0.1f at least -- you are stuck with “First Name”
“Last Name” and “Account Name” as the only search fields available
(no “My items only’ nor any other fields you might find useful here – but I’m working on that=).

You now have a Target List.

Additionally, I have added a script to my ListView.html’s Popup_picker.html and related code in config.php which allows the user to adjust the 'list_max_entries_per_page' (Show [20] [50] [100] [200] [300] )

    Hope this helps.
