Hello,

I am new to SugarCRM (and really CRM in general) and need some help.
My background:
I'm part of a team at a German university managing a part-time Master's course.
We would like to manage our contacts and our "sales campaigns" in a more professional way (i.e. get away from our excel sheets), so we chose SugarCRM CE. The testing version of Sugar is installed (SugarCRM Version 6.1.2 community edition) and it's waiting for configuration and data input.

We have:
- some big excel sheets with about 90 columns and 6100 rows with data
- some persons/contacts with only an e-mail-address, some with postal adress, some with both
- different types of adresses for one contact (i.e. company, private, for billing)
- some persons without links to a company (=account)
- types of contacts (i.e. "student prospect", "HR in company", "actual student" etc.)
- lots of further information for some contacts like "former study course", "first contact", "newsletter subscription" and so on
- information about what kind of campaigns and handouts the contact already got

We would like to
- put all this data into our SugarCRM CE, therefore need to customize the accounts and contacts modules
- create some new attribute lists to select from when adding a new contact (like "former study course" etc)
- customize the campaigns module and - hopefully - import the available data
- be able to track our campaigns and actions (for example know, which contacts have been part of the last christmas-mailing)

I'd be happy to get some directions. Maybe there are some useful extensions (even for CE)?
