Need help: How do i manage the database in the sugarcrm appliance? A bit urgent, pls.

hi there. I've recentrly decided to install the sugarcrm appliance on a virtual machine with VMWare, in order to test it and maybe integrating it with another application that my company uses. For that, i would have to get a backup of the sugarcrm database files with some sql admin software like phpmyadmin, save them into another machine or external USB pen or disk, and then opening those backups. Still, since i don't realy know this appliance, i'm having quite some problems in finding a way to do this. My main questions are:

1 - How do i install phpmyadmin in the sugarcrm appliance? i tried using the conary command, but i can't seem to find the correct package to install.

2 - how do i mount an extenal USB device or even a cd-rom in this appliance? I can't seem to do a singlem mount here.

3 - Is it possible gto install some kind of remote access software in the appliance such as tightVNC? Would be usefull for my situation...

I'm using the rPath Linux Installer 4.5.1d ISO image. Can anyone help me here, pls? I realy need an answer for this...

edit: i have found a way to mount the cdrom, thankfully, but i still need to add the usb pen drive or external disk, and can't seem to solve it...
