Question Need help: Migrate from PRO to CE, problems with custom fields

    Hi,
I like to migrate a PRO version to a CE version. However when I move the database to a CE version and repair everything, my fields only show up as something like LBL_fieldname. The fieldentries are not visible. How to fix this?

If you like to fix this paid please do not hesitate and contact me.

    Andreas

Besides just moving the database you'll need to move the custom vardef files, custom language files (why you see LBL_, etc), custom layout files, and any custom metadata files. You'll find these in custom\Extension\... and custom\metadata

To simplify, I'd recommend copying your Pro instance to a new directory and then copying your CE instance over the new Pro copy. Then point that new directory to your new database. This may help with figuring out what files to copy over.

    Hi,
I moved the whole custom folder the last time but that didn't help. :-/ In search forms the values appeared but they didn't in edit view etc. A repair didn't help. Any idea?

Do the fields show on the edit screen but are blank? If so, do they exist in the database?

Do the fields not show on the edit screen at all (labels don't even show)? Then does custom/modules/yourmodule/metadata/editviewdefs.php exist and if so, do the fields that you are looking for exist when you open and edit that file? If yes, try deleting everything in the cache\modules folder.

the labels are prefixed with LBL and the actual values are all blank. After I have imported them and try to edit the view layouts they have completly empty spots where the custom fields should be located but I can remove them and add them again.
I don't use custom modules. Only the default ones with custom fields.

strange. I just tried to look for accounts in sugar but it doesn't show anything (have cleared search fields). No errors in logs or output. However I see strange entries in the admin section. There are empty table cells and some with just single letters and links to various locations. ("r" pointing to the admin section and "(" pointing to directory "/2"). Any idea what could be the reason for this?
