Default Need help in setting up users access to employees

    Hi,

I am a noob to sugar using the new 5.2i community edition, windows install package (installed on XP). I don't have much in the way of IT background but I do understand the concepts and am able to work from them. Here is what I need help with.

I need to set employees role such that only employees belonging to the same department are able to 1.view and 2. assign tasks to other employees in the same department. As an example, if an employees belongs to ABCD department then he should only be able to see other employees in ABCD department and assign tasks to other employees in the ABCD department and not everyone else.

I appreciate your help on this as I have read the forums and have done internet search but did not find anything related.
