Need Revenue Scheduling Functionality

My company is in the process of evaluating SugarCRM.
We need to schedule revenue in installments for the upcoming calender months. Why doesn't SugarCRM have this functionality? I dont understand. Not every company sells widgets.

Any thoughts/ ideas on how to address the issue quickly and cheaply?

So this is the sale of some sort of subscription, payable in installments?


If so, I would suggest that a custom module of installments, related to opportunity, would allow the system to create the installment payment plan upon closing the opportunity (closed won).

A custom dashlet would then be able to report on the future revenue broken down by whatever metric you need (month, or month by lead source, or month by sales person for example?)

I just found this, it might at least help with planning things like "subscription plan is valid until ...."
