Default Never getting any Inbound email

I configured an inbound mailbox, and tested it. It responded with

Your POP3 test connection was successful

When I send an email to the email address, it never arrives.

    OS: Windows NT
    SugarSuite version: 4.5.1
    WebServer: IIS5
    PHP version: 4.4.1
    MySql version: 4.x

Is that test email present on the mail server, meaning at the inbox? Make sure that you have checked the option to leavemessages on the server.

You can drop this mailbox and again configure to cross-check.

    Let us know.

    Regards,

Have you tried clicking "Check Mail" Button?

Exclamation Re: Never getting any Inbound email

    Moses,

In my case, I am getting mails only when I click "Check Mail" button. The automatic schedular is not pulling the mails from inbox.

    System spec:

    Sugar 4.5.1 (Upgraded from 4.5.0h)
    Kubuntu
    PHP 5.
    MySQL
    Apache

There are two places to configure inbound email in SugarCRM. The first is under the "Admin" tab. In here, I set up an inbound mail box, called "Inbox". I tested the setup, and it connected to the POP3 server fine. "Leave message on server" is checked.

In the "Email handling options", I left the defaults, namely:
    Possible actions: Create(any)
    Assign to group: Inbox
    Auto-reply template: --None--

I also set up a mailbox in under the "My account" tab, by editing this screen, and editing the 'Inbound email setting' section. The fields here have the same values as those set up under the "Admin" tab for the "Inbox".

I did click the "Check email" link (about a million times), but nothing happened.

I also noticed that under Admin, Inbound email, Schedulers, there is an item "Check Inbound Mailboxes", and the "Last successful run" is "Never".

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

    It works!

As per Moses suggestion, I checked the mail server inbox settings, and it turns out that the mail box on the mail server was configured to "disguard all incoming mail", so anything sent to it simply died. Once I changed this setting, and sent an email to my SugarCRM inbox account, it worked. I did have to manually click the "Check mail" button to see the email, but that's better than nothing.

If anyone knows how to gets the scheduler to run, please let me know. As mentioned iin my previous post, when I checked it is says it was never run.
