Default New install of 4.5.0 - config.php truncate problem

    Hi!

I have been trying to install SugarCRM all morning. I had the problem with the session_save location PHP variable which quite a few other people around here seemed to have had. I resolved it by modifying the httpd.conf file on my server.

After making it through the configuration, SugarCRM came up with a blank window in my browser. This seemed to be the problem referred to hereabouts whereby the 'config.php' file got truncated while being written to after the install/configuration was complete.

After reading how to fix that (which worked). I logged into SugarCRM and started doing stuff (created a user etc). Then I went to use the Studio to create some custom fields. After saving my changes, I again get a blank window in my browser.

Examining the 'config.php' file, I see that it has again been truncated, rendering the system unusable.

Is this something which is being looked at, or is there some missing param in my php.ini or something which is causing the SugarCRM config file to be truncated repeatedly?

    cheers
    Rob

I am not sure why your config.php file was touched if you are just creating custom fields? Make sure that your language files are complete (i had that problem in other recent thread), as these do get updated when you add custom fields.

Well I don't know why either...but the config.php file seems to be getting truncated at random times while I'm in the process of making changes to the config...

I'm a completely new SugarCRM user, so I will continue to play with this, and see if I can find out more...

BTW. I'm running on an SMEServer 7.0 machine...

Well...I don't know if I'm losing it or what...the issue with the config.php file being truncated seemd to just magically dissappear. It hasn't happened since my last post...
