    Default New Installation Old Data

Does anyone know if Sugar can be installed on a new server using the exported database from a previous install?

Can a .sql file in the new package be replaced with the export file, or can the installation steps be bypased altogether if you manually create the database using the exported data?
    Development Setup
    Sugar 5.0.0c
    Fedora Core 7
    Plesk 8.3
    PHP 5.2.4-1.fc7
    MySQL 5.0.45.fc7

    In short Yes.

But only if the installs are the same version level. ie 5.0c to 5.0c. simply use your mysql tools to import the data.
If between versions i.e 4.51 to 5.0. I would export from thwe old and import to the new instead.

If you look in the docs, you will see this.

    Thanks Paris
