New lead notification email

I am trying to set the system to automatically notify a sales person of a new lead received. I am new to Sugar and cannot seem to get the system to email the sales person upon assignment of a new lead.

First, you will need to get outbound email working under Admin->Email Settings
Be sure to turn on system notifications
Next make sure that the sales person has an email address and that they also have indicated they want to receive notifications.

If you are using PRO or higher you can use a workflow to send an email that is based upon an Email Template that includes a rich set of detail
