    Unhappy New note not assigned to contact

    Hi,

    I noticed a recent problem with 5.0.0f: when I add a note while viewing a contact, the note is saved without a link to the contact. So now, I have a bunch of orphan notes that I cannot relate to the proper contact.

    I tried editing some of them, since I knew who they belonged to, but there is no way to attach a contact to an existing note.

    Has anyone else seen this? I looked in the release notes for 5.0.0g and there is nothing in there about that.

    Evidently, i was wrong and I read the release notes too quickly... performing the upgrade now.

    ... and after the upgrade, I still cannot change the contact when editing a note.

    Any ideas?

    Anybody? I cannot create notes anymore because they don't get attached to the contact or lead. This makes this feature less than useful.

    Hi L,

    I am not able to replicate your problem in 5.0f or 5.0g. I am able to successfully create notes in the notes subpanel of the Contacts detail view using both the short form and the full form. The notes attach to the Contact. I am also able to do this via the Activities module.

    Was your instance customized? Maybe one of the links was removed?

    Uhm, I don't think so. I did add the iCal patch to have iCal support for the calendar. That's it.
