New status values not coming up in search

Hi All,

I have been attempting to add a few values to the dropdown status list in the leads module. The new entries have been successfully entered and appear in the edit view of the records. The issue that I have is these new entries do not appear in the advanced search dropdown list, the only entries are the original ones new, in-progress, dead etc. Can anyone enlighten me with a solution to this issue.
