New to Sugar, add contact issues

I have tried a few searches within the forums and also Google is my friend. I am a little stumped how to word this so please be patient.

When I try to create a new contact, if I type anything in the Account name, campaign or in Reports to, I cannot enter in anymore information.

My questions are:

Where is some documentation that would help me resolve this?

Even when I highlight a built account in the account name, I cannot enter any other information, anyone else have this issue?



I am using a LAMP server and Sugar is Version 5.0.0a (Build 3120)

Hi,
all available documentation can be found in the wiki, in developers page, in documentation page and in a couple of books.
I see you use Sugar 5.0.0a, may I suggest you to update to 5.0.0d which solves quite some bugs?

There are two issues here: One is that you are trying to type into fields that are supposed to be "select" fields. You have to select an existing option for these fields or yes, your cursor will essentially be "stuck" there as the field contains an error if you have typed something.

Second issue is that, as Dragonflymaster mentioned, there are bugs in the version you are using including a bug which traps you in certain fields. An upgrade to version D will assist you with this problem.

When suggesting to update I meant it would solve the page-freezing problem when writing inside select fields.
