    Default New users can't authenticate

Saw this in my error log after new user accounts can't login:

    HTML Code:
Wed Jan 18 09:46:51 2012 [18517][-none-][FATAL] SECURITY: User authentication for XXXXXX failed
    Wed Jan 18 09:46:51 2012 [18517][-none-][FATAL] FAILED LOGIN:attempts[2] - XXXXXX
    Has anyone seen this before?

I am running CE6.4.0RC2. And, yes, username and password are correct

You could consider that a look on follow topics:
    - Are you with using LDAP authentication enabled? (Maybe you could diabled that, or ensure it is correct configured)
    - You said the credentials are correct. Do login or password contains special chars? (Maybe they are not been weel interpreted)
    - You could also try reset the user password durecty on db with md5 function, maybe it was stoed wrongly.

It is a database/query issue. I am now manually entering the MD5 hash into the database via PHPMyAdmin and it is working just fine. At least I can norrow down the code to look at

    Thanks for the ideas.
