Hi,

I have been tasked with setting up and installing Sugar CRM in order to test the system on our company servers. I have a minuscule knowledge of PHP & MYSQL / SQL.

My question is should I just forget it until I know PHP / MYSQL?

My answer would be no, it is very easy to setup using the Installer on a clean machine but I find it even easier to simply dump the files on a Web ready server and then follow the simple steps to install as described in Guide. It sets up MySQL for you anyway. We have been using it successfully for a while now with very little knowledge of PHP or MySQL.

Give it a go, what have you got to lose!
