Hello,

I am looking for a little advice on the creation of module:
We have the latest version of CRM, in French and it works quite well.

We have contacts and I want to add a module "techical info" for each of my contacts.
This module contains just a description of the customer's hardware.

I have 2 options:

- Add "technical info"'data fields directly into the module CONTACTS ;
- Create a module "techical info" with all of the related fields.
BUT: how to link this module to module customer

In studio, you can add one to one relationship between the contacts and your custom module using the "Add Relationship" feature.

, can you suggest me some variables to link ?
What about if I do the relationship between [CONTACTS.LastName], and [CUSTOM.Customer.Name] ?
Do you think it will work ?

I just did it

I create a "basic" package , with a one-to-one relationship with the CONTACTS module .
Now, how can I figure out to link my CUSTOM module's customer name with the CONTACTS's lastname ?

Just a question :
I have sugarCRM in french, and the relationship term is :
"LBL_F1_FICHE_TECHNIQUE_CONTACTS_FROM_CONTACTS_TIT LE:"
Where can I do the translation ?

A final question:
I did the module using the admin account.
Now I deployed/published it for any users.

But, if I want to access my new custom module, using a regular access, I have this :
You don't have access to this zone. Please contact your administrator if you think you may have access to (sorry, but translated from french text )

Check whether your role have enough access to view the custom module.

Sorry, but I didn't get it
Actually, ROLES are empty on my system.

So I create a RoLe, but this seems to do nothing ...

Do you think I may have forget something ???

Did you logged in as Admin user or ordinary user?
