    Default Newbie help - replacing contacts via import problem

    G'day people,

    I'm using the SugarCRM 4.2 version at the moment and having problem importing contacts to Sugar.

    I made good use of the search button but nothing matches my case.

    What I'm getting now is that Sugar won't allow me to import contact with the same ID. My understanding is that if I import an entry with the same ID, the existing entry will be replaced (modified).

    I created a dummy account to play with and Sugar said:

    1 records skipped because the id's either existed or where longer than 36 characters

    Then how do you actually replace accounts?

    Currently, I believe, you would have to delete the accounts. The import tool does not replace anything.

    I just have to find a way around it then..

    Is there any updates regarding this issue in the near future?
