    Question Newbie question: Add field to contacts

    I've just downloaded and installed Sugar Version 5.1.0b (Build 4905). From the Admin, Developer Tools/Studio, screen under contacts, I've added a custom field and added this new to the edit view and detail view and have saved this. Yet when I go to add a new contact (or view existing contacts) this field doesn't show up.

    Could someone please point me in the right direction? Is there a FAQ that would help me better? I did a quick forum search, but didn't see anything.

    Hi there

    Seems very weird, I have had instances where the server hasn't caught up before but it should be showing. Try the repair facility in the admin and see if that solves the problem. You could also try looking back into the studio and try clicking save and deploy once more. Hope this has helped

    Thanks for your reply -- it was something dumb on my part. 'Save' vs. 'Save & Deploy'. I guess it helps to deploy the changes.

    Problem solved.
