Default No Notification for new cases

    I am running Sugar 4.5 Build 1050
I have gone into administrative tools and to email and set up my smtp server with it's ip address and set for authentication for an account that can authenticate to smtp server.
I have also gone into all the users I have, set up their email address in every spot I see and check the box to send the user notification when cases are assigned to them.
I am not getting any notifications
The strange thing is, is that I can send an email from within Sugar to these users but the notification is not working when assigning cases.

I am not a programmer but have someone who is programming my sugar. If anyone has come across this issue and knows what needs to be done on the back end as far as what lines to add and where to add them please let me know.

do you have the scheduler configured? A quick way to set up default schedulers is go into the admin -> Repair -> Rebuild Schedulers and then set up a cron or Scheduled tasks to run the cron.php in your sugar directory. You can find more information in the documentation or in the wiki.

    Thanks for the reply.

I only have the default schedulers setup. I thought that since it was an option under the user management that it would do that when I checked the box.

I will have to forward your information to our developer to have him look at this information. To me it makes little sense but I'm sure he knows exactly what you are talking about.

Again I appreciate your quick response.
