Not able to send emails to self id

Hello,
I am using sugarcrm 5.2.e version of sugarcrm CE.I have configured the emails settings.I am able to send emails , but when i am trying to send emails to my self id and all ids related to my server hosted ids, i am not abel to do it. Ex:- If suppose my id is abc@ginger.com, i am able to send emails to yahoo, gmail and others too. But when i am trying to send emails to abc@ginger.com, bcd@ginger.com in short no emails are being sent with respect to ginger.com. Can any one give their valuable suggestions please.
One more problem is when i click the check emails its says downloading 50 of 100 and then it downloads all and after a minute i am not able to view the downloaded mails and there is no change in count .

Operratign system :- Linux
Version:- Community Edition
Php:- 5.2
Mysql:- 5.2
Apache:- 2.0

mmmm ... this one made me laugh and cry at the same time ... we've just finished a lonnnggg support case with a customer with the same problem ... after running the usual sql queries to elimate the possibility of suppression lists/opt-outs, checking the admin setup etc. .... it turned out to be the problem we have suggested in the first instance ... spam filters ... Ouch!
