Not able to set the inbound mail settings for gmail account

Hi

I checked this forum how to set the inbound email settings to configure gmail account. I tried out the solution given but i am getting "POP3 Connection broken in response." I have enabled pop in the gmail account settings. I have given the following details:

Mail Server Address : pop.gmail.com
protocal : POP
Port : 995

User Name : xxxxx@gmail.com
Password: xxxxxxxx
Use SSL : True

then also I am getting the error message mentioned above. I would be more thankful if anyone can help me.

I got the exact same problem. Has anyone figured out how to do it?
Neither inbound or outbound emails get delivered when using google as a pop and smtp server. We use Google for your domain so we don't go through the regular @gmail.com stuff. However, sending and receiving on the account through Thunderbird works fine.

I was wondering why the POP was not going through port 110 for incoming and 25 for outgoing
