not a valid point error

how to remove not a valid entry point error . i am using cron jobs for using php scripts file .i want to run that new file in tasks folder but it is showing me not a valid point . how to remove tat error . pls help meeeeeeeee....

Hello,

Look at the cron.php file in the sugarcrm root directory and use it as example.

Thanks for the reply, i had seen the cron.php file i have tried to include entry point file in my new file by adding require_once(entrypoint.php) but still alertbox in my new file is not working . pls tell me wot shud i do to show the alert box at the time specified for that cron job. eg 43 12 * * * php /path/to/myfile.php ... it shud show the alert box at 12:43 but it is showing me nothing .... plss help me

i have tried to run the cron.php through the linux schedulers ... but the result is again not a valid entry point ... pls tell me where i am wrong eg * * * * * php /path/to/cron.php >> result....according to this it should run the scheduled jobs which i had set in schedulers...but its showing me the not avalid point error in result .... my schedulers are working as it is creatinf a result file every minute.. wot sud i do now pls tell...
