Default Note/Log date/time when sales stage changed...

Really need a workflow (or ?) approach for keeping a date/time entry for each time the sales stage changes. It may change up, it may change down.

The reasoning is that there is a report (think BI style) needed that will show how long each Oppy was at each stage. So now we can do averages by rep, by customer, etc.

I'm guessing by reading older Angle posts that the"Add Note" for the History sub-panel is the one to use. Doing so, I'm pretty sure that we'd not have the info when it was a Lead, but it would still be 90% of the goal. Problem is, a note could be added manually, and what would that do... I'll cross that bridge when I need to...

    First things first!

    Ideas?

    TIA!
