    Default Notes or Documents Attached

    Hi people,
I'm using the version 5.0.0e on a Windows 2003 Server.
I would like to know where the Notes or Documents attached to an opportunity are saved. I need to find and manage them.
    Thanks a lot,

    Anahi

Notes are stored in the Notes table within the Sugar database. Any attachments associated with notes entries are in <sugar root>/cache/upload. The same is true for your documents.

I'm running 4.51,. I see a long list of what appear to be documents in the /cache/upload directory that are named with a Sugar ID as the filename. Where is the document ID stored in the corresponding database tables?

I am going to need to export these documents along with a reference to the related record in the database, so that I can attach them to records in another application I am migrating to.

    Depends.

If it is an e-mail attachment, you would find the corresponding ID within the emails table. You would also find the original file name within the same record.

If it is a document from the Documents module, the corresponding ID would be in the documents table.
