Notes not allowed

I'm a new Community user - As admin, I am able to enter, edit, and display notes related to accounts and opportunities.

I have set up a basic user role for other users and enabled access to "ALL" modules.

However, a "basic user" is only able to see a note listed under history. When selected, an error message is displayed that says Notes are not authorized for this user. Likewise, a "basic user" is able to click on Create Note but still gets the same error message.

I see no specific access control for "notes" - what am I missing?

can you send a screenshot which displays the rest of the role settings? It sounds like your users have access for the List, but not the detail view. What are the settings you have for the Notes View?
