Sugar Enterprise - Version 5.1.0b (Build 4905)
So, I'm new to Sugar but have used Salesforce for years. I'm trying to do something pretty simple, but can't figure out how. We have a typical web-based lead capture form. The form works and leads show up in the system. I currently have all the leads assigned to me.
First, notifications don't work. I have set email notifications on and made sure that my account is set to receive notifications. When new leads are created via the web form, seems like I should receive a notification but I receive nothing. (We are using Sugar's default sendmail. Sendmail appears to be working just fine because our sales department has been sending outbound emails without any problems.) That's problem #1.
Second, can someone recommend how to set up a simple round-robin lead assignment with Sugar? What I want, ideally, is a new lead generated via the web form (or via imported list) that gets assigned to a "queue". (This is a salesforce term, but there are no queues in Sugar, so I don't know the equivalent.) How do I do this? Do I create a "Group User" who gets assigned all the leads and then somehow reassigns them? Or do I create a "Team" and assign all of the inside sales people to the team? (I've tried this but there doesn't appear to be anywhere in the GUI that I can create lead assignment rules based on anything.) Is custom development required for this very basic functionality?
Starting to think that I should have stayed on Salesforce... Nothing seems easy over here.
