notifications aren't sent

i've installed Version 4.5.1e (Build 1049)
All seems to work fine, but notifications aren't sent to users.

Each user in its accounts options has flagged the option to receive notifications.

The only thing that works is the appointment invitations that are sent by mail.

What should i do to enable notification sending? thanks

Have you confirmed that the notifications are enabled under Email Settings in the Admin control panel?
