Note: I have found, in multiple other posts, that the functionality sought below is a Pro/Enterprise feature..and assistance to my efforts will not likely be forthcoming. We are developing a Trouble Ticket system using Sugar. A ticket (probably using Opportunity) would be created by an agent, then an admin would assign the ticket to themselves and put it through different statuses. As status is updated, we want a Notification email to send to the agent who submitted the ticket, just as Notification goes to whomever when an item is reassigned.
I have thought perhaps agent = account or contact associated with the ticket (opportunity). But am unsure how to create an event or trigger so when status of ticket changes an email is sent, and how to have email go to the party that submitted the ticket instead of the party to whom the ticket is assigned.
I have found some items in SugarBean, and Edit.php pages... it is very slow going from scratch.
We are using Sugar OS ver 4.2.0a
Any help or ideas are most welcome. Thank you very much!
