Notifications for two actions only

The Sugar notification option is working (users receive alerts). But this is too much. I want notifactions to be send only when it is a task or complaint (send to the assigned user).
I tried also the admin->workflow but then i get two emails when adding a new task or complaint. One via the default emailnotification of Sugar and one as a WORKFLOW alert. If i disable the notifications in the Admin tab, my own workflow alerts are disabled as well.
Can somebody help me?

I'm using Sugar Community and have the same desire (except that I only want to notify on case/bug changes). Does anyone out there know of a way to do this? Possibly with a plug-in? Or if not, are there any plans to expand the "Notifications on?" Email Setting (to either be per-module, per-role, or (ideally) both?).

Is this fixed with the new 5.2 release?
