numbers are being rounded

I added a custom field to the cases to record billable time (record the number of hours). I made it a decimal data type with precision of 2. What happens is the number is being rounded up to the nearest whole number. So if I put 1.50 in the field and save it is rounded to 2.

I did some searching already and the only thing I could find is that possibly the "Currency Significant Digits" setting could cause this. If I click my account this field is blank. But if I click edit it is set to "2" which it should be by default. Anyone have a clue what could cause this?

I am using SugarCommunity Edition Version 5.5.1 (Build 1202).

Never mind, I solved the problem. I went into mysql and found that the data type was set to INT instead of DECIMAL. I changed the data type and everything is fine now!
