Default Object Expected error when trying to create ANYTHiNG

I hope someone can help. I downlaoded SugarCRM 5 Community for Windows/MSSQL, and when I attempt to create ANYTHING (call, meeting, task, notes, etc), I get an Object Expected error in the browser and most (if not all) of the does not get displayed. Either the page is blank, or only a couple of the textboxes are created.

I have tried going to the site with both Windows and Linux browsers and the app still will not function properly

It kind of sounds like the JavaScript is having a problem executing.

Which browser are you using? Have you checked your JavaScript settings?

i have tried ie6, ie7, and the default browser on a linux machine....none of them are functioning, the linux machine doesn't display an error, but doesn't work either.

I am having the same problem. I just installed the FastStack Windows Installer for 5.0.0b with MSSQL. If I try to create anything it's just a blank screen where the fields should be. For example, I click on create contact and the left side bar still shows the links, the top menu bar is there and the page footer is there. In the middle, where the fields should be it says "Contacts" in bold, and then it is all blank, except for the footer below.

I have tried opening in IE and FF with the same result. In IE I get the "Object Expected" error. In FF there is no error, just the blank screen.

Have you guys tried using different themes to see if the behavior persists?

    Different user?

    Seems bizarre to me.

Objected Expected errors are normally related to JavaScript. I've always used the default settings in my browser and have never encountered the behavior that's being described, so I am not sure what to say other than to make sure your browser is using the default settings.

Do you experience any other problems on sites with a lot of javascript?

Try the samples here to see if they work or cause similar errors: http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/

    (Look under YUI Controls/Widgets)

I have tested with multipe users both Admin and reguarl, different Themes, different browsers as well as three different systems. This seems like a show stopper unless we can have someone jump in and show us what's going on.

    Anyone else from Sugarcrm?????
