Is there somewhere in configuration that we can set, only the owner/creator of a contact / lead (or the Admin) should be able to view it. Right now (unless I missed something) all the users are able to see the leads / contacts created by other users.

If this functionality is missing in Sugar, then it should be added, I believe it is a very critical item, and probably would not require too much (in terms of code writing) to achieve it.

This functionality already exists. Basic role-based access control functionality exists in all three editions of Sugar (OS, Pro and Ent) and additional team-based control is available in the two commercial editions.

I suggest reviewing the Manage Roles and Manage Teams training guides in Sugar University (http://www.sugarcrm.com/crm/universi...rary?tab=admin).
