Default Open Task Dashlet is useless.

    Hello,

I wanted to use a Dashlet on my Home tab for 'My Open Tasks'. I wanted to keep it REALLY simple, with just the Due Date, Subject and Lead it is associated to.

Even though I can see the Lead in other views, it appears to be impossible to add that field in the Dashlet.

So, I have no idea what each task is for. Pretty useless.

Why can't I show the Lead field? See attached for what I see.

Any help adding the Lead Field would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Eric

    Have a look at modules/Calls/Dashlets/MyCallsDashlet/MyCallsDashlet.data.php
You will understand how to configure the "Relate to" field.

    Andre,

Thanks for your help, but I am confused. Are you suggesting that to add the 'Lead' field to the Open Tasks Dashlet I modify the code?

There is no 'Related to' field, however there are a few 'related_fields' fields.

Regardless, even though I know PHP, it isn't a trivial task to understand how to make the appropriate change in the web interface.

Under Tasks in the Studio, there are multiple Layouts, but none for the Dashlet. It seems the only way to edit the Dashlet is to click on the Edit icon in the upper right of the Dashlet itself. This presents 2 lists; one for fields to Display, and another for fields to Hide.

There is a field for 'Contact', but none for 'Lead' which is what I need. How do I get the 'Lead' field added to the Display Columns list?

    Thanks,

    Eric
