Default opportunities: add partner as account?

Hi, before I do testing (SugarPro 5.1b), quick check to see if anyone has anyone tried this already.

In the opportunities module I would like to add "partner" as a field that links to an entry in the accounts module.
So for that opportunity I would have:
    - account = end customer, linked to an Account
    - partner = reseller, linked to an Account

Is it as simple as adding a custom field (type: relate)?
    Any pitfalls, downsides to this?
What happens when I go to the account page for that partner, does the opportunity show up there?

If you create a custom field Relate the Opportunities won't be displayed as subpanel under the Partner Account.
But if you create a relationship One to Many between Accounts and Opportunities the Opportunities will be displayed as Subpanel and Studio will automatically add the Account Relate field into Opportunities EditView/DetailView.

I thought I already replied but that was not the case. So, a belated: thanks!

    How do I accomplish this?
I went to Studio > Accounts > Relationships,
    it currently shows:
    - name: accounts_opportunities
    - primary module: accounts
    - type: many-to-many
    - related module: opportunities

For the opportunities relationships it is the same.
In the current situation Opportunities shows up as a subpanel for an account,
which is the way it should be I guess.

When I add a new relationship (account, one-to-many, opportunity)
I can not specify the subpanel type for account
(only: for Account I can specify "subpanel from opportunities")
After adding, I do not see the new relate field for Opportunities edit/view.

Attached a couple screenshots of before, during and after.

Have a look at http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/accountsnetwork/ there I created such a linkage between accounts with definition of roles (like the Reseller)
