    Default Opportunity issue, new to SugarCRM

    I am the new adminsitrator for my company and I am not familiar with SugarCRM.

    I have an issue where one of our sales staff is unable to view the opportunity for an account unless he has administrator access.

    This person is allowed to view all opportunities so I am not sure what the problems is?

    Hi Dave,

    what version of sugar are you using?

    If you are using Pro or Ent, make sure that the user belongs to the Team that is assigned to the Opp.

    If you are using CE -- are there any roles set up in the system? Who is the Opportunity assigned to? If this user belongs to a role where he is only allowed to view Opportunities that are assigned to him, and this opp is not assigned to him, then he would not be able to view it (an admin user can view all records in the system).

    Using SugarCRM 5.1.0 Pro


    The op appears to be assigned to a user not a team.


    However all the users are in the Global team and thats their default team.

    Hi Dave,

    if you are using Pro, then the Team field is a required field for the opportunities, so it must be populated (unless you removed this requirement). Verify that the team for this opportunity is not a personal team or a team that this user does not belong to.
