Opportunity List View does not sort by sales status as expected v. 3.5.1

When sorting by Sales Status in the Opportunity List View the sort does not follow the order of the Sales Status keyword as shown in the DropDown Box for Sales Status Keywords.

I have tried editing each code in the dropdown box to preceed it with a numeral, thinking the sort was by the editable keyword. This doesn't cause a change.

I have tried moving the keywords up and down in the dropdown box. This doesn't cause a change.

Am I just not understanding the functionality, OR is there a bug?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Sort orders are SQL specified and not dependant on List order. It is not nessarly a bug. This would be a nice feature to order on the list order.
