Opportunity search doesn't work with different label for 'amount'

Hi,

I run Version 4.5.1d (Build 1273) and I wanted to change the 'amount' label to clarify what input is expected from the sales guys. I changed the label for the AMOUNT field to 'Target Spend per annum'. I then noticed a second field labelled amount linked to the the AMOUNT-USDOLLARS data, so I changed the label for this one to 'Target Spend per annum' too.
Turns out one of them is the field in the edit, detail and search view and the other one is the title for the search results.

Problem is, I don't seem to be able to search opportunities by amount any more. I've tried swapping the two field in varaious views but Sugar won't save it AMOUNT_USDOLLARS in edit, detail or search view and doesn't give me the option to use AMOUNT in the list view. Dashboard and graphs don't seem to be affected as far as I can see...

Any ideas how to fix this? I know it seems stupid as my objective really is just to change the name of the label, but our business model is very niche and I really need to be able to explain what to input in that field.....

In fact, changing the label and /or currency seems to have bothered the whole list view.

Best I could get was for the list view to show the 'Amount' (not amount-usdollars - that's pointless for my UK customers!) in the list view, but then the fields would show £0, even though there is an amount there when you actually open the opportunity.

I tried to remove the field from list view in Studio and then put it back in again to see if I could kick start it that way, but now it won't show at all in the list view, even though I 'saved and deployed' it countless time.

Next stage is to kick it!

Anybody out there with a suggestion? ANYTHING AT ALL? PLEEEEEASE?
