    Default Opt-out explanation

    I know I'm probably being thick on this but we are just starting to use the Campaigns and are having trouble with opt-out.

    Please could someone just answer these realtively simple questions for us;

    If you choose to opt-out by clicking on a link in an email sent to you as part of a Campaign, are you opting out of that Campaign, the Target List or all email from then on?

    And if you go into a Contact and tick the Email Opt-out box are you preventing that Contact from ever receiving any mail from your company from then on or just giving them permission to opt-out if they choose the option in the email as mentioned above?

    Hope that makes sense!

    Thanks

    Russ

    The Opt-out is used to exclude mass emails from the campaign emails. This does not prohibit a sales person from sending a single email to a contact. It is mostly there for the Caned Spam Act. This allows sugar to provide opt-out link for bulk emails in the campaigns module.
