    Default Outbound Email Setting

    Hi There,

    I have my pop3 and SMTP settings set in SugarCRM like I have them in Microsoft outlook.
    I do receive e-mail into Sugar but can "Sent Errors" if I for Outbound email while it works perfectly in Outlook.

    Any advice? I desprately need to sent email via SugarCRM.

    Why not just set the users outbound Mail Transfer Agent to Sendmail?

    Does the "Test Settings" button return a positive result. My guess is that it is a setting on your server. You didnt mention anything about your setup (gentle reminder to all posters) so I don't know what OS it is running. but if you go to a command line on your server, either Linux or Windows, and type "telnet mail.myserver.com 25" (substituting mail.myserver.com with your mail server address) then press return you will either see the hello statement from your pop3 server or an error.

    Hi There,

    I get that the "Sentmail" option should be the easiest to solve the situation.
    When I set the setting to Sendmail. It doesn't give me an error report after sending mail but the emails I sent do not get delivered. I have tried 7 test emails but none get delivered to different email addresses.

    Any idea?
