Outbound utf8 email to outlook

Hi all, i'm running SugarCRM 4.5.0f and i've configured everything to use UTF-8 as default.

But now i was testing the outbound email features and while thunderbird receives the msg ok, outlook doesn't interpret the utf8 strings and just displays garbage!! I can't have this behaviour, even if it's outlook fault.. What's the best setting for compatibility purposes? I was thinking iso-8859-1, but i tried configuring the e-mail charset as iso-8859-1 but then when i open the mail in thunderbird the special chars aren't shown, and worst, they aren't even sent in the mail, there is no ISO-8859-1 encoding in from and subject headers.. Im a bit frustrared and need a hand.. is iso-8859-1 the way to go? And what are the correct settings for a utf8 database, utf8 interface and iso-8859-1 email !?!?!

Which version of Sugar are you using? We are on patch 'h' and have not noticed any problems with either Thunderbird or Oullook.
