Default Outgoing email error (Send Error)

    Hi All,

I have read about this problem with other users too. But I think in my case, its really untraceable (at least for me).

I use the same email account for Email marketing, it is a success, i mean I am able to connect to the SMTP server from SugarCRM and send emails.

But whenever, I am trying to do it manually from the Email Module of sugar, the emails are failing. I tried the same settings from MS Outlook, Outlook Express & Thunderbird, and the emails were sent successfully.

when I looked up the system log I found this:
Thu Apr 26 21:47:49 2007,392 [5019] FATAL SugarCRM - SugarPHPMailer encountered an error: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.
Thu Apr 26 21:47:49 2007,406 [5019] FATAL SugarCRM - Error emailing:SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.

Any suggestions of what is going wrong where?

Thanks for your kind help in advance

    - Henry Louis

hello, I'm not sure if I understand how you have it setup but I know that Campaigns use the email settings in the admin panel. The email module is user specific and uses the email settings assigned within the user account.

Do you have the email in admin as well as the email for the user setup?

    Thanks for your interest.

Yes, i have the same account for the admin and this user. I have cross-checked the email server name, SMTP Server, port number, user name and password. Everything is perfect.

Even when i did a "Test Account Setting" from the user account (in the edit user setting mode), the test yielded positive results, i.e. everything worked fine. but when i tried sending email...................again failed.

    any idea???
