Outlook Plugin

I am having a hard time getting the outlook plugin to work. This is the message i get

The SugarCRM server http://10.10.10.252/sugar specified in tools > Sugar options cannot be accessed due to the following error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I looked my logs on the local pc and this is what i have

which version of sugar and which plugin version?

I am using sugar 5.5.1 that didnt work so i updated to 5.5.2 and still no luck. I'm using outlook 2007 plugin 5.5.1

I am also running sugar on a ubuntu server.

I have auth problem more basic. Fresh install of Outlook Plugin 5.5.2 Fill 804 (Installed by Administrator). Trying to login to SugarCRM Pro. Version 5.5.2 (Build 1224), I get failure to login - check user-name and password. The Sugarlog says.

No problem logging on in normal way to sugar with these credentials

If I disable the LDAP Authentication on this user and use the Sugar password, it all works as expected. I found mention of a bug similar to this that was fixed circa 2006. It looks like it might have returned. Being a newbie and novice, I need some guidance on how to fix this. I want to use LDAP to give my users one set of credentials across all systems, but it seems that at present LDAP and Outlook Plug-in are incompatible.

I am using Sugar 6.3.1 CE and want to move to the professional version but I need to have success with using the Outlook plug-in. I'm having the same trouble. I use Active Directory and users can log into the web interface without issues. When using the Oulook plugin, they cannot. Only local Sugar accounts can log in. In the my Sugar logs, I have the following error:

Does anyone have a suggestion to get past this?
