    Default Parent-Child Relationships for Leads

I've got a successful web-to-lead system set up.

I need new leads whose email addresses match existing leads to be filed as children of the previously existing leads.

Can anyone point me to the correct resources or give me a quick primer on how this would be accomplished?

    Thanks in advance.

You need a relationship field on your lead and a logic hook, triggered on the before_save of the lead which would search the database for an pre-existing email address and then link up the relationship to the other lead.

The wiki has a good introduction to logic hooks.

And you'll need to understand all about SugarBeans and how to retrieve them - so that you understand how to search the database for the original lead.
