parse error: unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR

Out of the blue, I tried logging into my Sugar app and received this error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/kgasp2/public_html/crm/include/utils.php on line 1180

I have no idea how this would have happened. None of the server files have been modified at all, since the installation months ago.

Any insight please?

1and1 does handle php as php4 ... you have to add a .htaccess document in your root directory containg

AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

then it shoudl work
