password is not displaying in System-generated password email

when a user chooses the forgot password. they recieve a email. in that email everything shows except the password. below is what the template looks like.

Here is your account username and temporary password:

Username : $contact_user_user_name

Password : $contact_user_user_hash

http://wowbrandsfamily.com/crm/index.php

After you log in using the above password, you may be required to reset the password to one of your own choice.

This feature works without big deal. What may be happening is: you didn't specify a valid user name.

but it shows my username , but not my password. are you saying i can put anything in there and it will do it regardless if it has the data or not ?
