password problem...

Upon installing sugar, I downloaded the main zip file and extracted it onto my pc. I then immediately uploaded the files to my webserver. I opened a browser to start the install, and everything was fine until I get to the 3rd page or so where it ask for the database name and PASSWORD. Nothing I do will work.

Should I have set the password in the files on my local pc "befor" uploading the files to the server? I can't for the life of me figure it out... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to create one database and grant one user all the permission to that databse, then use these information on the third page of the sugar install.

Where do I create the database... on my local PC, or have my webserver create it on their server?

Sorry for the ignorant questions, but I don't know much about this.
