patches after 3.5.1h

I am on 3.5.1h with the ultimate goal of getting up to the latest and greatest release.

However no matter which patches or upgrades i try i get either:

Please specify a file and try again!

or

version x.x is not compatible with 3.5.1h

Can someone PLEASE help? I'm getting very frustrated.

If you've tried all patches without success it is difficult to say where the problem lies. There are just too many moving parts (version of php, mysql, Sugar, permissons etc.) It might be necessary to take closer look at your system.
